About The Position

We’re seeking a hands‑on, dependable Maintenance Technician to help keep our facilities safe, welcoming, and fully operational. In this role, you’ll support the inspection, repair, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across our properties. You’ll also help maintain interior and exterior building spaces—ensuring they remain clean, functional, and in good condition for our staff and the community we serve.

Requirements

  • Qualified candidate will have a high school diploma, or equivalent, and one (1) year of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, electrical and HVAC, three (3) years preferred.
  • Candidate must be able to safely crawl, climb and lift at least 50lbs and have knowledge and safe performance practices in the use of relevant equipment and tools.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, strong organizational and decision-making skills and ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines essential.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally in writing and verbally.
  • Awareness of and sensitivity to the issues and health disparities faced by underserved populations is essential.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with computers and MS Office software (Outlook, Word) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Understand assigned properties and review building operations, maintenance schedules, and equipment status.
  • Update and manage work orders in the maintenance system; work with Facilities staff to resolve delays.
  • Support preventative maintenance programs and maintain logs/inspection reports for life‑safety equipment.
  • Perform routine, preventative, and predictive maintenance tasks as assigned.
  • Troubleshoot heating, cooling, and refrigeration issues; coordinate vendor repairs when needed.
  • Inspect buildings to ensure proper heating, lighting, ventilation, cleanliness, and overall condition.
