About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for general maintenance services and repairs for a multi-location facility in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, and electrical. A successful maintenance technician will perform duties in a manner that is safe for self, clients and other staff while maintaining a professional and quality level of customer service. Maintenance technicians are required to be available for on-call rotation including evenings, holidays, and weekends. Requirements

Able to perform functions described in job responsibilities.
Able to lift 75 pounds and assist with lifting, transferring, or moving equipment up to 200 pounds with the assistance of equipment. This includes loading and unloading from average vehicles and vans.
Able to drive company maintenance vehicles independently. May be exposed to extreme weather conditions.
Able to operate email, use timeclock program and respond to work orders.
Able operate general office equipment and a computer including typing, learning new software applications and programs as related to performing job functions.
Able to attend work as required by position assignment including working a flexible schedule to support team as needed.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Able to effectively manage competing priorities.
HS Diploma/equivalent.
Up to two years of experience in carpentry, electrical, painting, or other maintenance related field or certification in carpentry, electrical, painting, or other maintenance related field or graduation from a trade school required.
Basic skills using Microsoft Office products - with an emphasis on email.
Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance. Acceptable driving record.
The training required must be completed as defined.
Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

Performs various levels of maintenance and repair in a variety of fields to include but not limited to HVAC repairs and installation, appliance repairs and installation, complete remodels, flooring installation, interior and exterior wiring repairs and replacement, drywall repairs and installation, and water heater repairs and installation (gas, electric, and tankless).
Responds to water issues (basement leaking, sump pump issues).
Moves furniture and appliances.
Serves in an on-call rotation.
Provides maintenance services to customers in a manner that is competent and complete.
Utilizes and maintains company tools and equipment properly.
Performs all duties in a safe and effective manner.
Properly documents and communicates in-progress or completed assignments.
Communicate with stakeholders about issues, resolutions, timelines, and expected outcomes.
Collaborates on projects across departments when necessary.
Other duties as assigned.
