About The Position

We are hiring for a Swing shift Painter to join our Facilities team at United Health Centers in Fresno, CA. The potential candidate can look forward to a Monday-Friday schedule (swing shift, 3:00 PM-11:30 P.M) along with an amazing benefits package which includes low premium benefit costs for the employee and family. It is an exciting time to join the United Health Centers team. The Maintenance Technician performs a variety of duties in and around buildings and grounds of the centers in order to maintain and repair the buildings, grounds, utilities systems and equipment. This could include plumbing, masonry, carpentry, painting, electrical work, refrigeration, air conditioning and gardening. Cleans and services clinic building areas, moves furniture, equipment and supplies in and around center departments. In addition, the Maintenance Technician may perform a variety of housekeeping duties to maintain the clinic in an orderly and sanitary condition.

Requirements

  • Requires the knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to the completion of high school (GED).
  • Possess a valid CA driver's license.
  • Requires two years of experience in general maintenance and repair, preferably in a health care or other corporate environmen, preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of a variety of practices and procedures related to painting strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Attends and actively participates in all meetings (e.g., department meetings, program meetings, employee staff meetings) and other activities as required or assigned.
  • Attends workshops/seminars as necessary to increase skills and knowledge to provide effective care, treatment, and/or leadership.
  • Supports the overall needs of the health center by working flexible or extended hours when necessary.
  • Supports the needs of the health center by traveling to other UHC health centers when department need dictate.
  • Demonstrates awareness of, and compliance with, organizational mission and objective of UHC to provide health care access and support services for all members of the community.
  • Supports their own staff development by completing the required hours of continuing education each year.
  • Other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor.
