About The Position

This role is a multi‑skilled electrical technician responsible for providing advanced maintenance support while upholding all requirements of the National Electrical Code (NFPA 79). The position requires a current Journeyman or Master license and a strong ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systems. The technician mentors apprentice electricians, promotes electrical safety, and maintains up‑to‑date training on all electrical hazards. Ongoing professional development and adherence to safety programs are essential. The role also includes operating Power Industrial Trucks (PIT) as part of daily responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Journeyman or Master Electrician License required
  • Advanced electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, reasoning and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Competent at electrical building wiring installed to NFPA 70 electrical code
  • 2-yr technical degree or equivalent past work experience.
  • Continued technical training required each year
  • Must operate/be trained in the use of Power Industrial Trucks (PIT).
  • Excellent communication, time management, organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and self-direct activities
  • Ability to manage vital maintenance functions to maximize corporate assets
  • Directs and provides leadership/mentoring/coaching of other technicians including electrical code compliant applications installed by an electrical apprentice
  • Ability to safely lift and carry up to 68 pounds
  • Ability to safely push and/or pull up to 92 pounds of force

Responsibilities

  • Multi-skilled technician with a current State Board of Electricity Journeyman or Master license providing focused competency maintenance support.
  • This position is a highly developed troubleshooting electrical technician that follows and enforces the National Electrical Code (NFPA 79)
  • Mentoring apprentice (unlicensed) electricians is a requirement
  • Trained on all electrical hazards and is an advocate for our electrical safety programs
  • Continuous job-related training and current electrical license is required for this position
  • Operates Power Industrial Trucks (PIT).
