About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing skilled maintenance and repairs across a variety of facility and production equipment areas, including Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Electrical, and HVAC. This role ensures optimal operation of industrial equipment, supports continuous production, and upholds safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Minimum of 3 years of industrial plant maintenance experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to perform maintenance tasks to the satisfaction of the Maintenance Manager.
  • Capable of working in a high-speed manufacturing environment with heavy-duty industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Preventative and Corrective Maintenance: Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
  • Perform repairs on compression and injection molding machinery, auxiliary equipment, and support systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
  • Equipment and Tool Management: Use a variety of machine and hand tools, measuring instruments, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Repair and rebuild spare parts as needed.
  • Safety and Compliance: Observe and enforce all safety, security, and health regulations.
  • Report potentially unsafe conditions and use equipment and materials properly.
  • Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food Safety, and HACCP programs.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that products produced on assigned equipment meet established quality standards.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Collaborate with Team Leaders, Quality Assurance Technicians, PTMs, Molders, Lining Technicians, and Printer Technicians.
  • Provide job turnover at shift change for smooth transitions.
  • Assist coworkers and cover for absences on other shifts as required.
  • Facility and Grounds Upkeep: Maintain cleanliness of production areas and machinery.
  • Assist with building and grounds repairs, including snow removal.
  • Material and Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain material supply functions.
  • Technology and Documentation: Utilize EAM maintenance management software to enter and close work orders, track parts, and log labor hours.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in formal training and on-the-job learning, including new equipment installation and modification projects.
  • Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Benefits

  • Starting pay is $28 to $32 per hour, depending on experience.
