POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for operational condition and performance of the facility and equipment used in the production of technical foam rubber. Technician is expected to work as part of a team and / or without assistance while complying with all OSHA and Facility safety requirements (lock out/tag out, confined space, welding safety, etc).

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• 2-3 years of related job experience is preferred.
• Basic computer skills preferred (MS Excel, MS Word).
• The M2 position will require the certificates of completion in the following courses, Instrumentation 2, PLC-2, PLC-3, Hydraulic Control-1 Hydraulic-Control-2, AC Machines-Motor Control 1, Motor Control 2, Pneumatic Control 1, Pneumatic Control 2, DC Machines-Motor Control and Motor Control 2. --Or other courses approved by Maintenance Manager and HR Department.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret more detailed mechanical, electrical, and PLC ladder logic blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs.
• Use common hand and power tools.
• Working knowledge of specialized equipment, and electronic devices used in basic trouble shooting and repair.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance without supervision to include inspection of mechanical and electrical equipment, make minor adjustments related to the inspection and perform other advanced maintenance tasks.
• Should show confidence in diagnosing more complicated equipment failures of mechanical and electrical devices.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and install equipment, facilities and parts as required.
• Demonstrate the ability to perform diagnostics and related repair work of critical facility equipment to include but not limited to extruders, ovens, mixers, granulators and their subsystems and components.
• Demonstrate the ability to do instrument calibrations with minimum assistance.
• Basic ability to work with PLC systems, and programmable software.
