About The Position

This position will supervise a team of mechanics and ensure daily maintenance goals are met. Due to the dynamic nature of our business, duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.

Requirements

  • 2-year degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial Maintenance or Technology OR 5 years’ experience in industrial maintenance with a food processing background
  • Knowledge of Industrial electrical systems, Welding, Boilers, Pneumatics and Hydraulics
  • Computer proficient – MS Office, AutoCAD
  • Striving Influence

  • Able to make decisions quickly
  • Progressive leadership and excellent supervisory skills
  • Must be able to lift/carry machine parts
  • Must be able to build and tear down machines in plant environment
  • Must wear protective/sanitary gear in designated areas of the plant and while doing certain tasks (i.e. hair/beard nets, earplugs, environmental suit, goggles, welding shield.)

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications in Sanitary welding, Boiler operation, Wastewater treatment, and Electrical systems beneficial, but not required

  • Responsible for monitoring, record keeping and taking appropriate actions for specific Food Safety Plan and Food Quality Plan and pre-requisite program requirements.
  • Responsible to report food safety and quality issues to management.
