Provide a safe, comfortable operating environment by directing installation, maintenance and repair of machines, tools, equipment and utility systems. Position is a hands-on supervisory position. Person must be willing to mentor and train mechanic by the act of getting involved with equipment repairs, and troubleshooting. (Being able to show a person how to do the work not just telling someone how). Person must provide their own hand tools. Basic knowledge of PlC’s and trouble shooting Testing and troubleshooting of 110/230/7460 vac electrical systems including moters, starters, VFD’s and PLC’s During peak production season (approx.. August to February), and when certain situations arise, must be willing to work part of the weekend , entire weekend, and take off days during week, or be willing to split their days off. Person must be a team player must work closely with Maintenance Supervisors, and Lead Persons that are on other shifts. Must follow through with work orders, or maintenance problems from one shift to the next. Insure Mechanics are kept busy on shift when producing equipment is working well. Responsible for upholding, following and maintaining the requirements of the SQF Food Safety Code for Manufacturing. Other duties as may be assigned or volunteered for.
