About The Position

Under general direction, the Engineering Supervisor oversees the daily operation and maintenance of hotel facilities, ensuring all mechanical, electrical, and safety systems function efficiently. This role leads a team of engineers and technicians, coordinates repairs and preventative maintenance, and ensures compliance with safety and brand standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum two (2) years of maintenance experience in a hospitality (hotel, cruise ship, ec.) or related (hospital, apartment complex, etc.) environment.
  • This position requires the capability to understand and follow both oral and written directions, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with others in English and interact successfully with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to adjust effectively to evolving work environments and shifting customer (internal/external) requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Interacts with guests in a professional and courteous manner; promptly addresses any questions or concerns they may have and follows up to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Schedules, trains and directs work of Engineering/Maintenance technicians; assigns daily tasks and ensures work is completed efficiently and safely.
  • Oversees and assists with repairs to mechanical systems, guest room issues, or emergency maintenance situations.
  • Oversees work ticket process in Quore.
  • Conducts routine inspections of plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems, and elevators.
  • Oversees preventive maintenance programs in Quore to minimize equipment downtime and extend asset life.
  • Maintains accurate logs of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
  • Ensures all systems and operations meet local building codes, health and safety regulations, and brand standards.
  • Works with outside contractors or service providers when specialized repairs or upgrades are needed.
  • Ensures all fire and safety inspections are completed and any discrepancies are corrected.
  • Supports leadership in maintaining adequate inventory of tools and supplies, including conducting tool inventories, monitoring stock levels, and placing orders with approved vendors as needed.
  • Maintains working spaces in safe and clean condition.
  • Attendance is a key component of this position.
  • Maintains a professional appearance in accordance with Company standards; wears the appropriate uniform or attire.
  • Maintains open and effective communication with team members and management.
  • Attends and participates in team meetings.
  • Adheres to established safety and emergency procedures and protocols, this includes Company, federal, and state specific regulations and guidelines.
  • Completes all required Company training/compliance courses as assigned.
  • Adheres to Company standards and maintains compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
