About The Position

JBS is seeking an hourly Maintenance Buyer 1st Shift Team Member. Position starts at $25 per hour based on experience. Benefits Include Paid vacation, holidays and sick days Medical, dental and vision benefits 401(k) plan Better Futures Tuitions Reimbursement Program Onsite Cafeteria Career development opportunities Essential Job Duties: Replenish checked out spares through established requisition process Vendor invoice matching/PO info correction (VIM) Order needed parts for upcoming jobs Convert requisitions to purchase orders after approval Invoice matching/PO correction (VIM) Support cycle count activities and investigate inventory discrepancies Purchase maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) materials including parts, tools, supplies, and services Process purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders in a timely and accurate manner Ensure parts and services meet required specifications, quality standards, and delivery schedules Expedite critical or emergency maintenance orders to minimize production downtime. Coordinate with Maintenance Supervisors and Planners to understand upcoming needs and priorities Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Strong communication skills
  • Computer skills to include Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word and Excel)
  • Must be able to work Saturdays and Sundays as needed
  • Adaptable and dependable with ability to follow direction and Ability to work independently while collaborating cross‑functionally
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results in Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost
  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels within the organization, from the floor to the executive leadership team
  • Strong problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Purchasing, maintenance, or MRO inventory experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
  • Experience with CMMS or ERP systems along with SAP is strongly preferred
  • One (1) Year maintenance background preferred
