Summary Perdue is growing!  Come join us at our Prince George, VA location!  The Maintenance Supervisor directs and coordinates maintenance activities with team members, vendors, & contractors engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, equipment, and PMs to include: maintenance of buildings, grounds, and utilities of the plant & new construction, by performing the following duties personally or through team associates.  The Maintenance Supervisor will frequently engage in teamwork and train associates on proper and thorough repairs essential to maximizing operation uptime and promote a safe work environment.  This opportunity offers a competitive base salary, excellent benefits, paid relocation, and a team that cares about your career path!  Hours/Days for this position: 6 PM to 6 AM on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays, as well as every other Wednesday.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years related experience.
  • Prior supervisory experience.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English required.
  • Troubleshooting ability, technical knowledge of production equipment, mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Excellent communication, problem solving and organizational skills along with the ability to coordinate several projects simultaneous

Responsibilities

  • Manages maintenance work requests from the production floor with supervisors and quality control determining priority and assigning work to technicians.
  • Ensures team members comply with all safety, best work & manufacturing practices.
  • Develops a robust vendor & contractor relationships to provide best workplace experience associated with plant improvements.
  • Complies with all company regulations, safety, environmental, BRC & GMP programs, maintain audit documentation.
  • Develops a robust PM program and writes JSAs.
  • Strengthens vendor and contractor relationships to provide best workplace experience associated with plant improvements.
  • Communicates to Production & Quality assurance equipment break downs & estimated time for a satisfactory repair.
  • Prior to shift completion, verifies status of assigned work orders and prepares for incoming shift.
  • Documents all parts ordered and/or used and maintain the parts department in a clean and organized manner.
  • Periodically advises the General Maintenance Manager or Plant Manager of issues, maintenance activities, and accomplishments.
  • Additional duties as assigned in accordance with shifting production and plant needs.
