About The Position

As the Maintenance Supervisor/Engineering Liaison , you will drive production efficiency and equipment reliability through strategic maintenance leadership and innovative engineering solutions. You’ll support plant operations by improving processes, reducing downtime, and leading maintenance initiatives. This role reports directly to the Production Engineering Manager with regular updates on performance and reliability metrics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or 4 years of relevant work experience in the field.

  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or Six Sigma.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in a maintenance environment

Responsibilities

  • Interact with production to determine production equipment needs.
  • Apply continuous improvement methods to enhance safety, reliability, quality, or labor reduction.
  • Supervise technicians to maintain production related build necessary equipment.
  • Review engineering designs and communicate best practices and fabrication concerns and provide alternate fixes.
  • Be aware of production safety issues, ergonomic and environmental needs.
  • Perform work in a safe manner and follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Domestic and international travel required and could include weekend travel depending on the project.
  • Perform related work or job duties as required by supervisor.
  • Develop sustainable manufacturing practices aligned with safety, ergonomic, and environmental standards.
  • Design and implement equipment improvements for safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and reduce labor.
  • Manage capital projects from approval through implementation.
  • Oversee maintenance programs and lead root cause analysis for equipment issues.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities specific to the Yankton facility.
  • Direct the Maintenance Department, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
  • Coordinate with vendors for repairs, upgrades, and service agreements.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory.
  • Communicate effectively across all organizational levels and lead team collaboration.
