Maintenance & Engineering Supervisor

About The Position

We are seeking a proactive, experienced Regional Maintenance & Engineering Project Supervisor to lead capital projects, support new customer integrations, and drive maintenance improvements across multiple food manufacturing sites across the U.S. This role is critical to ensuring our facilities operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with food safety and regulatory standards. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the supervisor will oversee the execution of engineering initiatives aligned with strategic business goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher required - (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in maintenance and project management in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and industry standards (e.g., FDA, USDA, GMP, HACCP).
  • Proven experience managing CapEx projects and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in CMMS, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel 50%-75% to support multi-site operations.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and deliver capital expenditure (CapEx) projects across regional food production facilities.
  • Manage project scope, budget, schedules, vendor relationships, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects meet compliance standards including USDA, FDA, and SQF/BRC.
  • Evaluate current maintenance strategies and drive improvements to reduce unplanned downtime and increase equipment reliability.
  • Implement and support predictive and preventive maintenance programs using CMMS.
  • Collaborate with site teams to standardize maintenance processes across facilities.
  • Lead engineering and facility readiness efforts for new customer programs, line expansions, and co-manufacturing projects.
  • Coordinate utilities, equipment installations, process layouts, and commissioning activities.
  • Provide hands-on technical and project leadership across multiple manufacturing plants.
  • Support the standardization of processes, equipment, and technology across the network.
  • Serve as a key point of contact between plant-level operations and corporate engineering.
  • Deliver regular project updates, capital tracking, and KPI reports to the Director of Engineering.
  • Collaborate with operations leaders and external partners to ensure alignment on project objectives.
