We are currently seeking a skilled Painter to join our Engineering team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the continued enhancement of our historic resort as we move through exciting renovations and property improvements. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining the beauty, quality, and luxury standards our members and guests expect—from detailed interior finishes to large-scale exterior projects. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language at a level sufficient to communicate effectively with clients, members, guests, and staff.
  • Basic knowledge of building maintenance and inspection to include; reporting of maintenance and paint discrepancies.
  • 1+ years of general engineering and maintenance experience.
  • Must be able to lift, carry and move 50 pounds.
  • Able to work outside in all weather conditions for long periods of time and be able to move about the property.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, to include weekends, holidays and split shifts as requested.
  • Arrive to work on time, consistently.
  • Upon entering the property, arrive in proper uniform, crisp, clean and in good repair.
  • Hair must be clean and cut in a becoming style; management has final approval.
  • Attend all required training, safety courses; attend office and departmental meetings.
  • Report any safety hazards, follow up that hazard has been corrected, and assist with providing a safe work environment.
  • Follow daily the property’s safety procedures associated with the position and equipment used.
  • Interact in a positive manner with guests and other staff.
  • Responsible for performing all phases of finishing work pertaining to the application of patching, repair and painting.
  • Assist in the selection of materials pertaining to this phase of decoration.
  • Maintain a log of all areas that have been reworked, to include the date, the type of material used, and the color.
  • Maintain all material pertaining to this operation.
  • Maintain work area and all common areas of the Maintenance Department.
  • Assist all other maintenance functions as time allows, including answering the phones in the Maintenance Department.
  • Responsible to respond to trouble calls in hotel rooms from housekeeping and guests.
  • Make keys for property.
  • Knowledgeable of Material Safety Data Sheets and information they provide including; proper labeling procedures.
  • Perform and follow up on any other duties as assigned by the Chief Engineer.
