Position details Title: Maintenance Operations Leader Reports to: General Manager Employment: Full time, on site Shift: First Location: Denver, Colorado Pay: $80,000 - $90,000 per year depending on experience What you’ll do Set maintenance strategy and standards: implement SOPs, modern manufacturing methods, and a robust PPM program. Plan and schedule work (internal and external) to reduce unplanned downtime and maximize planned windows. Optimize equipment performance and quality through calibration and maintenance of electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Lead inventory control for parts and materials with clear accountability for spend. Oversee installation and ramp-up of new machinery with minimal disruption to production. Determine repair vs. replace decisions and manage end-of-life disposal safely and lawfully. Drive problem-solving with root-cause analysis and conduct risk assessments for processes and tasks. Direct contractors and vendors to meet OSHA and company safety requirements; provide a safe environment for employees and visitors. Lead the team Hire, train, coach, and motivate a high-performing maintenance team with measurable goals. Monitor completion, performance, and documentation quality; recognize achievements and address gaps. Ensure adequate staffing and audit timekeeping for accurate pay. Own the budget Operate within budget; obtain competitive bids to select appropriate vendors. Prepare the annual maintenance budget and manage it from inception to completion. Partner to win Collaborate with management, operations, quality, suppliers, customers, and service providers. Recommend solutions that protect quality and service while optimizing cost and meeting customer requirements. Lift/move: regularly up to 10 lbs; frequently up to 25 lbs; occasionally up to 50 lbs. Work environment Regular exposure to wet/humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. Frequent exposure to fumes/airborne particles and variable temperatures including extreme heat (non-weather). Occasional exposure to heights, toxic/caustic chemicals, extreme cold (non-weather), and electrical shock risk. Loud noise environment.
