This role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing all plant electrical, control, and instrumentation systems, including level transmitters, switches, probes, temperature transmitters, associated wiring, and hazard monitoring systems. It also includes diagnosing and repairing all electrical systems and components, servicing VFDs, electric motors, MCCs, PLCs, electrical power distribution equipment, and turbine electrical controls. The position requires installing electrical components like conduit, wiring, panels, controls, and machine-mounted devices, as well as installing, maintaining, and repairing lighting systems. Pneumatic troubleshooting, including calculating ranges and set points, is also a key part of the role. Mechanically, the role involves performing repairs and maintenance on mechanical systems and production equipment, troubleshooting mechanical and operational issues, maintaining tools and parts, and diagnosing/replacing faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components. Operational and safety responsibilities include partnering with plant operations, notifying supervisors of issues, following SOPs, safety rules, environmental requirements, and GMP guidelines, making minor operational adjustments, maintaining equipment knowledge, applying root cause analysis, completing safety training (including LOTO), accurately completing work orders, performing preventive maintenance, and supporting capital improvement projects. Additional responsibilities include coordinating PM activities, assisting other team members, identifying improvement opportunities, participating in company programs, assisting with piping/fittings/welding, performing maintenance on all LDC equipment (packaging machines, conveyors, palletizers, stretch wrappers, sugar feed systems), working during scheduled shutdowns, clearing conveyor choke-ups, and working overtime as required.
