About The Position
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of machinery and equipment throughout the plant and facilities. This position ensures all equipment operates efficiently and safely to support production goals. The Maintenance Mechanic also maintains tools, documents repair activities, and follows all maintenance and safety standards in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical issues on production equipment.
- Perform basic electrical, wiring, and motor repair as needed.
- Order, replace, and install machine parts to minimize downtime.
- Repair, install, and maintain safety guards and protective devices on machinery.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections on equipment according to schedule.
- Perform general facility maintenance, including building and grounds upkeep.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces in safe, organized condition.
- Document and report maintenance activities, repairs, and completed projects.
- Follow all safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and SQF/ISO standards.
- Assist in training and mentoring other maintenance or production staff.
- Maintain a clean and hazard-free work area.
- Perform additional department duties as assigned.
