Successful candidates will maintain and repair the facility and equipment involved in plant operations, including production equipment, material handling equipment, and building systems and structures. Candidates will manufacture or repair of all spare parts and required components for multiple proprietary high-speed paper converting machines. Requirements

  • Must have rollaway toolbox and good quality personal tools required to do the job, however some tools are provided by the company.
  • Knowledge of industrial electrical / PLC and robotic controls
  • Knowledge of common metals, electrical materials, oils, greases and all other materials commonly required in equipment and building maintenance.
  • Knowledge of general safety and performance excellence (5s).
  • Ability in making maintenance repairs to all machinery in the plant including electrical repairs.
  • Must be able to work well with others while also being able to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Read, write, and use shop math including fractions and decimals.
  • Read blueprints, read wiring diagrams, general maintenance knowledge of all types of manufacturing and material handling equipment including high speed packaging equipment.
  • Knowledge of conventional machine tools such as: engine lathe, drill press, surface grinder, horizontal milling machine and vertical knee mill.
  • Knowledge of MIG, TIG & ARC welding equipment.
  • Determine proper specifications for inspection of work and be proficient using a full range of precision measuring and gauging tools.
  • Perform all required inspections before, during and after machining.
  • Fabricate parts from hand drawn sketches, blueprints, worn out parts with no prints, and help develop simple types of experimental and operating equipment, and hold required tolerances.
  • Attained GED or Equivalency Diploma
  • Secondary diploma or certificate in industrial electrical / PLC robot control
  • Knowledge of the tools, equipment, materials, methods, and standard practices of industrial equipment.
  • Knowledge of the maintenance and repair of various types of industrial equipment.
  • Broad knowledge of the hazards and safety procedures.
  • Knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, and machinist's trade.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair the facility and equipment involved in plant operations, including production equipment, material handling equipment, and building systems and structures.
  • Manufacture or repair of all spare parts and required components for multiple proprietary high-speed paper converting machines.
  • Plan repair procedures and select materials for most efficient accomplishment of job at hand.
  • Use high degree of ingenuity in troubleshooting and solving all types of maintenance problems.
  • Use good judgement in requisitioning spare parts and materials to maintain adequate supply.
  • Adjust to the changing needs of production, maintenance and machine shop operations on a day-to-day basis.
  • Make maintenance repairs to all machinery in the plant including electrical repairs.
  • Read blueprints, read wiring diagrams, general maintenance knowledge of all types of manufacturing and material handling equipment including high speed packaging equipment.
  • Determine proper specifications for inspection of work and be proficient using a full range of precision measuring and gauging tools.
  • Perform all required inspections before, during and after machining.
