About The Position

Complete Building Services is seeking a Building Maintenance Mechanic to join our Operations and Maintenance team. This role is responsible for performing preventive and routine maintenance at a large facility located in Washington, DC. The scheduled work hours for this position are Monday-Friday 10:30 am-7:30pm.

Requirements

  • 3 years experience operating and maintaining commercial buildings in the last 5 years
  • Requires reliable transportation
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Hands on equipment experience including, but not limited to: changing filters, grease bearings, repairing flush valves, stop valves, change ballast/light bulbs
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • EPA Universal 608 (CFC) license

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily tours of all mechanical rooms, computer rooms, electrical rooms, garages, roofs and all other areas as assigned.
  • Complete routine PM's (change filters, belts, clean coils, etc.) on AHU's, FCU's, exhaust fans and other mechanical equipment as assigned.
  • Ability to troubleshoot HVAC equipment and make minor repairs.
  • Basic electrical and plumbing knowledge to troubleshoot and make necessary repairs to commercial light fixtures, outlets, toilets and urinals.
  • Maintain equipment to industry standards.
  • General skills to repair door hardware and blinds.
  • Complete weekly generator and fire pump tests.
  • Help with event set ups and tear downs.
  • Provide assistance and support to sub-contractors designated to perform installation and/or repair of equipment and/or hardware as required.
  • Be able to support snow removal as needed.
  • Interface with building manager and other customer representatives in order to ensure client satisfaction.
