About The Position

The Mechanic II will have the ability to independently perform basic and complex Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems. The Mechanic II will be required to make Rounds to ensure the stability of all systems, and in a timely matter, report and/or repair such systems. Watch-Stand responsibility, requiring shift work, will be assigned on a rotating basis.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or Foreign equivalent
• Two years of experience
• Experience with welding, brazing, and the ability to assemble and unite components into systems
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools in the performance of repairs and PM's
• Knowledge of theory and operation of major mechanical equipment and systems
• California Driver's License required (if applicable)
