Job Description IHI Power Service Corp. (IPSC) has a career opportunity for an Operations & Maintenance Mechanic (O&M Technician-Mechanic) in our Springdale, PA plant. Job Summary The O&M Technician position is a multi-skilled operations and maintenance position that performs work associated with various disciplines within the assigned facilities (operation, electrical, instrument, and mechanical). The position is cross-functional to provide flexibility.

Requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • Related experience in industry or mil itary.CC Tech must have a minimum of two years' experience in an industrial maintenance discipline.
  • Must work shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Must be recommended by aptitude and skill testing.
  • Willing to travel to remote sites, occasionally staying overnight for up to five (5) nights

Nice To Haves

  • Gas Turbine maintenance experience.
  • Post -secondary/advanced education in 3 technical field.
  • PC skills, safety background in plants, Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) knowledge welding, quality assurance background, lab/chemistry background

Responsibilities

  • Monitors, inspects, adjusts, operates, and controls certain power production, auxiliary, and facility equipment to ensure safe, legal, reliable, and efficient operation.
  • Checks, and reports on all phases of the operation for difficulties or irregularities.
  • Conducts duties in a manner to comply with environmental laws, regulations and policies.
  • Assesses equipment condition through inspections, testing, and diagnostic tools.
  • Performs mechanical, electrical, and instrument maintenance and reports on repairs to assigned equipment.
  • Trains others in the inspection, repair, and operation of the facility.
  • Keeps assigned work areas clean at all times.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
