We are currently hiring for: Maintenance Mechanic 2 Job Summary The Maintenance Mechanic II is a mid-level position responsible for performing skilled maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and facility systems. This role requires working knowledge of food production equipment, preventive maintenance, and safety practices. The Mechanic II is expected to work independently on routine tasks and mentor junior mechanics.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience
  • Proficient with hand tools, multimeters, and basic fabrication
  • Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
  • Ability to work in varying temperature conditions.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working at heights.
  • Candidates must successfully pass post-offer/pre-employment drug test, and background screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical certificate in industrial maintenance or mechatronics
  • Experience in a USDA-regulated facility
  • PLC and control systems knowledge
  • OSHA 10/30 certification

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on motors, conveyors, pumps, and food processing equipment
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
  • Replace worn or faulty components such as bearings, belts, and sensors
  • Support installation of new machinery or production lines
  • Document maintenance activities via work orders/logs
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, USDA, and food safety standards
  • Mentor Mechanic I staff on safety and troubleshooting
  • Coordinate with supervisors to minimize downtime
  • Participate in on-the-job training and technical coursework as required.
  • Able to adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
  • Set up all equipment in both buildings.
  • Tig welding/Mig welding/Fabrication.
  • Electrical trouble shooting/control wiring.
  • Plumbing (replace valves, piping, installing water drops, etc).
  • Mechanical (repairing or replacing gear reducers, etc.)
  • Take test for level 3 and pass.
  • Other duties as assigned.
