About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Maintenance Mechanic II - 3rd Shift to join our team in South Milwaukee, WI! The hourly rate for this position is $34.50 per hour + $2.50 per hour shift premium. The core hours are 10:30 pm - 6:30 am. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. The Maintenance Mechanic performs industrial manufacturing mechanical system work to include layout, relocation, installation, maintenance, and repair of facilities, building mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of recent industrial/manufacturing maintenance experience.
  • Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • Knowledge in PLC, circuitry, and programming.
  • Firm knowledge of CNC machines, pneumatic, hydraulic and electromechanical systems
  • Ability to work overtime when required

Nice To Haves

  • Technical college certification in industrial maintenance from an accredited institution
  • Prior maintenance experience with industrial furnaces
  • Prior maintenance experience in an injection molding operation
  • Previous Military mechanical repair experience

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning machines, equipment, and small tools/parts.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure proper operation. Makes necessary adjustments or repairs.
  • Perform building maintenance, such as painting, plumbing, and carpentry.
  • Assist in maintaining an in-house wastewater treatment facility.
  • Operate various industrial vehicles used in material/machine moving/rigging.
  • Assist in installation and relocation involving machines and equipment
  • Perform simple electrical maintenance activities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhere to all facility environmental, health & safety guidelines, encourages communication, and participate with co-workers to further identify, reduce and eliminate potential hazards
