About The Position

Requirements

  • Three to five years of experience in a related field
  • Mechanical pretest to employment
  • High school diploma/equivalent required
  • Completion of a vocational or trade school curriculum from an authorized school with a concentration in electro-mechanical courses desired
  • Must be able to read and use precision type instruments such as micrometers and calipers
  • Speaking and presentation skills to conduct effective meetings
  • Must be able to pass multi-choice with handwritten section test
  • Administrative: Demonstrates ability to accurately post data from one source to another in ERP or peripheral software systems.
  • Communication/Teamwork: Ability to communicate effectively and work closely and productively as part of a cross-functional team
  • Ability to create and/or exhibit an atmosphere of openness, honesty, trust, and teamwork
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize as needed without loss of effectiveness and composure
  • Safety: Demonstrates ability to understand and actively participate in all company safety programs, policies and procedures.
  • Quality: Ability to develop and maintain processes that are ISO compliant.
  • Technical Knowledge: Demonstrates an advanced comprehensive knowledge of entire process from concept to commercialization.
  • Operate Equipment: Ability to operate motorized equipment and other peripheral equipment safely and efficiently as required
  • Demonstrates ability to utilize standard hand tools
  • Ability to operate basic machine shop equipment
  • Maintenance/Repair: Demonstrates advanced mechanical aptitude and abilities
  • Demonstrates thorough knowledge of production technological methods and procedures, and capabilities of machines and eq uipment in manufacturing facilities

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair faulty production and related plant equipment with the minimum amount of supervision using the provided schematics, manuals and drawings.
  • Be able to diagnose and repair electro-mechanical problems, troubleshoot electrical problems and have a strong understanding of preventative maintenance strategies
  • Identify faulty parts and provide proper nomenclature in the form of a requisition in order that spares or replacements can be ordered
  • Be knowledgeable of what and where spare parts are in the storerooms and to observe store rooms withdrawal and return procedure
  • General working knowledge of machine shop equipment
  • Must be team-oriented with leadership qualities and capable of leading co-workers in assigned tasks
  • Will be expected to maintain necessary records and established maintenance procedures
  • Maintain a clean, safe working environment
  • Responsible for additional specific duties related to each shift as assigned by maintenance supervisor
  • Other duties as necessary
