About The Position

Under limited supervision, and reporting to the Property Manager, the Maintenance Manager performs work in the operation and maintenance of the building and grounds to ensure efficient plant operation. Engages in the operation, maintenance repairs and safeguarding of the building and property and performs maintenance duties in the property. Employee is on call in case of an emergency.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in in maintenance trade fields.
  • Knowledge of operating principles and maintenance requirements of the mechanical and electrical installations on facility property.
  • Knowledge of practices, procedures, materials and equipment used in the plumbing, masonry, electrical, heating and air conditioning, carpentry, planting and landscape maintenance trades.
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize work functions
  • Ability to communicate with vendors
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of people
  • Must be pleasant with others, good-natured, and cooperative.
  • Must be dependable, reliable and responsible, fulfilling duties.

  • Must secure finger image screening and annual TB screening. Must be able to meet physical requirements of the position which may include lifting of up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Performs maintenance and custodial service as instructed by supervisor.
  • Completes routine general maintenance and minor plumbing repair work.
  • Performs minor carpentry work.
  • Reviews job orders to determine work priorities as advised by supervisor.
  • Utilizes tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists employees in solving work problems.
  • Assists in the orientation of new staff.
  • Completes assigned preventative maintenance plan tasks.
  • Display behavior that supports the mission, vision and values of ECS.
  • Understand and adhere to company, property and department programs, policies and procedures.
  • Keep current knowledge and required certifications for quality maintenance services mandated by federal and state law, and other regulating agencies.
  • Understand and adhere to federal and state laws governing employee and resident rights.
  • Engage with residents in a professional and respectful manner, fostering a sense of community and dignity.
