About The Position

SUMMARY: This facility is part of our Prepared Foods business unit. The Maintenance Manager I is responsible for supervising the maintenance staff of packaging production equipment on the off shifts. This role will be responsible for covering off shifts while being flexible with working hours. RESPONSIBILITIES: Plant Improvement and Expansion: Assist in planning and executing plant improvements and expansions. Manager must have a continuous improvement mindset and be able to plan long term Minimize unscheduled work through continuous improvement Training and Development: Ensure all maintenance personnel are proficient in operating equipment and possess necessary maintenance skills. Implement training programs to keep staff updated on best maintenance practices. Safety and Compliance: Establish and maintain a safe workplace environment, complying with all safety and regulatory standards. Ensure compliance with safety, health, OSHA, and environmental regulations at local, state, and federal levels. Communicate and enforce safety programs effectively, while holding team members accountable. Equipment Monitoring and Maintenance: Continuously monitor plant equipment and systems to minimize unplanned downtime and promptly address issues. Manage and maintain production equipment to keep the plant running 24/7 Assist in troubleshooting equipment Maintenance Management System: Manage a computerized maintenance management system (SAP) for tracking work orders, allocated time and maintaining an adequate inventory of replacement parts. Data Analysis and Recommendations: Analyze maintenance data to identify areas for improvement in plant operations and maintenance processes. Make recommendations for enhancing plant operations based on data analysis. Personnel Management: Ensure maintenance personnel are properly trained, equipped, and motivated to carry out maintenance programs efficiently and safely. Manage timecards. Work with maintenance planners to plan and scheduled execute work. Budget Administration: Manage the maintenance budget and ensure financial goals are achieved. Monitor and administer the purchasing and use of parts, equipment, materials, and supplies in the maintenance department. Manage maintenance MRO spend and be able to intelligently speak on it Performance Tracking: Maintain a tracking system to analyze key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization, maintenance costs, and PM compliance. REQUIREMENTS: Education: Bachelor s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have continuous improvement experience within a maintenance environment Experience: 6 plus years of maintenance experience. Computer Skills: Standard computer skills, data collection, PowerBI a plus Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; some public speaking skills. Able to deliver presentations to key stakeholders Special Skills: Industrial Maintenance competency in fields such as electrical and mechanical troubleshooting on. Supervisory: Responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform similar or interrelated tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have continuous improvement experience within a maintenance environment
  • 6 plus years of maintenance experience.
  • Standard computer skills, data collection, PowerBI a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; some public speaking skills. Able to deliver presentations to key stakeholders
  • Industrial Maintenance competency in fields such as electrical and mechanical troubleshooting on.
  • Responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform similar or interrelated tasks.
  • Must reside in the United States to be considered.
