As part of our ongoing growth and expansion, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Maintenance Machinist to join our growing team.

Requirements

  • High School, with vocational-tech school diploma in mechanical fields(s)
  • 2+ years of experience in performing duties in a Machine Shop environment to include but not limited to execution of detailed setups, G&M code programming and process trouble shooting in regards to CNC Machines, OMAX Waterjet, and machining/manufacturing metallic and non-metallic materials.
  • Must be able to pass NOAA background check and obtain a Common Access Card, TWIC Card, and US Passport.

Responsibilities

  • Advanced knowledge and experience in CNC Machine Setup, programming, operation, and machining process optimization.
  • Ability to setup, program and fully operate the OMAX Waterjet Cutter and create programs using OMAX Layout software.
  • Proficiently operate a variety of manual machine shop equipment by working with both metallic and non-metallic materials.
  • Perform machinery repairs and maintenance as required.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Estimate and procure necessary equipment, tooling and materials for various task or projects
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and improve machining processes.
  • Interpret and work from finished drawings to complete assigned tasking.
  • Occasionally support Mechanical assembly work at the industrial facility on site NDBC to support field service mission preparations
  • May be assigned occasional field assignments performing, installation, troubleshooting, repair and de-installation of NDBC Systems which involves:
  • Traveling and performing duties on land/at sea in remote locations with potentially harsh weather environments as needed.
  • Mechanical assembly work at remote station locations of the NDBC network in support of all operational missions and programs (Weather Buoy, DART TAO and C-Man).
  • Knowledge of computer skills (Microsoft Office and Google) for communication and completion of test and field related documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to represent NDBC/Lynker in the field.
