About The Position

A foundry maintenance lead oversees all maintenance activities within a metal casting facility to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of equipment and machinery. This involves leading and managing a small team of maintenance helpers, developing and executing preventative maintenance plans, and coordinating repairs to minimize production downtime.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
6+ years of maintenance experience preferred.
Must be mechanically inclined.

Nice To Haves

Electrical and Welding experience a plus.

Responsibilities

Test faulty equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
Inspect components of industrial equipment for accurate assembly and installation and for defects such as loose connections and frayed wires.
Install repaired equipment in various settings.
Converse with equipment operators to detect equipment problems and to determine what the root cause of the issue is.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, such as greasing, cleaning, and repairing equipment, to detect and prevent problems.
Set up and test industrial equipment to ensure that it functions properly.
Repair and adjust equipment, machines, and defective components, replacing worn parts.
Maintain equipment logs that record performance problems, repairs, calibrations, and tests.
Provide guidance and direction to maintenance helpers.
