About The Position

The Maintenance Team Lead role is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing facility and production equipment and providing leadership to support the facilities manufacturing schedule.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated industrial maintenance experience.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing environment; including successful completion of jobs or similar activities.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing environment as a Maintenance Technician at the Macon facility; including successful completion of jobs or similar activities.
  • Demonstrated self-compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Experience with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS); Maintenance Connection experience preferred.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient computer knowledge.
  • Demonstrate initiative in addressing and/or resolving repair issues.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Intermediate leadership experience.
  • This position is located in a manufacturing location. Physical requirements will include but are not limited to:
  • Standing for lengthy periods of time (frequent)
  • Sitting for extended periods of time (frequent)
  • Climbing up/down stairs/ladders/platforms (occasional)
  • Working in a manufacturing environment that includes periods of hot and cold weather, dust, noise above 85 dBA, occasional odors, and moving equipment (frequent)
  • Must be proficient in all manufacturing systems and processes in the Macon facility.
  • Must have a basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
  • Must have personal tools up to one (1) inch.
  • Must be able to stand and/kneel frequently, lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, and work in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be available on an on-call basis.
  • High School Diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

  • Technical certification in a related field preferred
  • Experience with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS); Maintenance Connection experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Follows all documented safety, quality, and maintenance procedures.
  • Responds promptly to safety hazards and machine breakdowns.
  • Understands and interprets blueprints required for work.
  • Performs routine mechanical repair on equipment.
  • Completes documentation related to the task at hand.
  • Trains and provides guidance and feedback to maintenance technicians and operators.
  • Assists team members to complete routine maintenance and repairs on facility production equipment.
  • Maintains excellent housekeeping standards to maintain a safe work area.
  • Maintains effective communication with operators and plant supervision.
  • Immediately addresses and reports safety issues or hazards.
  • Maintains excellent safety record.
  • Maintains excellent attendance record.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
