About The Position

The resort grounds maintenance/landscaping staff play a crucial role in maintaining the beauty and functionality of the resort’s outdoor areas, contributing to a positive guest experience and the overall success of the property. By ensuring the grounds are well-maintained and safe, you help create a welcoming environment that guests and staff can enjoy throughout the year.

Responsibilities

Mow lawns, trim edges, prune shrubs and trees, and maintain flower beds and planters.
Water plants, grass, and flowers as needed and adjust irrigation systems.
Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and other lawn care chemicals under supervision and in accordance with safety guidelines.
Remove litter and debris from the grounds, parking areas, and walkways.
Sweep or blow leaves, snow, or ice from pathways and parking lots.
Perform regular inspections of outdoor areas to identify and address any maintenance issues.
Operate and maintain grounds equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools.
Ensure equipment is cleaned, lubricated, and properly stored after each use.
Report any equipment malfunctions or repair needs to the maintenance department.
Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself, colleagues, and guests.
Follow resort policies and regulations related to grounds support activities, including environmental and health standards.
Assist with snow removal during winter months, including shoveling snow from walkways and spreading ice melt.
Prepare the grounds for seasonal events and activities, such as setting up outdoor furniture or decorations.
Other Hotel Maintenance task as required, calking, painting, etc.
