We’re seeking a Maintenance Inventory Specialist to take ownership of our maintenance inventory systems and storeroom operations at our Waunakee, WI site. This is a hands-on role that directly impacts equipment uptime, asset performance, and manufacturing reliability. What You’ll Do As the Maintenance Inventory Specialist, you’ll ensure the right materials are available when maintenance needs them, minimizing downtime and supporting efficient manufacturing operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience in inventory management, purchasing, or storeroom operations
• Experience using a CMMS or inventory management system
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to 50–75 lbs. occasionally

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in an industrial or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
• Experience supporting maintenance or reliability teams

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, label, and store incoming maintenance materials and spare parts
• Maintain accurate inventory levels within the FIIX CMMS system
• Track parts usage against work orders and purchase parts as needed
• Perform routine cycle counts and participate in physical inventories
• Identify obsolete, excess, or critical spare parts and communicate recommendations
• Maintain a clean, organized, and secure storeroom environment
• Ensure proper storage practices (FIFO, environmental controls, kitting where applicable)
• Establish and maintain standardized labeling and bin locations
• Support 5S and continuous improvement initiatives
• Coordinate purchasing of maintenance parts and supplies
• Create or support purchase requisitions for stocked and non-stocked items
• Track open purchase orders and follow up with vendors
• Verify correct parts, quantities, and documentation upon receipt
• Coordinate returns, warranties, and repairable spare processes
• Assist in identifying critical spares and establishing min/max levels
• Provide feedback to maintenance planners on usage trends and lead times
• Support equipment shutdowns, outages, and emergency repairs
• Perform basic preventive maintenance tasks and assist maintenance mechanics as needed
