Maintenance Helper
About The Position
Mission Linen Supply is currently looking for an experienced Maintenance Helper. The Maintenance Helper's responsibilities include supporting the repair, maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment such as washers, dryers, steam tunnels, conveyor systems, and boilers. This position involves performing preventive maintenance, including welding, boiler chemical testing, making necessary chemistry adjustments, resolving safety concerns, and preparing maintenance records. This in-plant role requires strong technical knowledge of industry equipment, the ability to work with varied mechanical/electrical systems, and strong leadership skills. The company is looking for candidates with knowledge of or a willingness to learn about Steam Boilers, Electrical systems, Pneumatics, Schematics, Maintenance, Welding, and Plumbing. The pay for this position is $16.50 - $19 an hour, with the starting pay based on education, experience, other qualifications, and assignment location. Requirements
- Strong technical knowledge in industry equipment
- Ability to work with varied mechanical/electrical systems
- Strong leadership skills
- High school diploma required
- Minimum of two years of maintenance engineering experience
- Specific knowledge of machinery, electricity, electronics, and plumbing, welding, and boiler applications
- Experience with mechanical troubleshooting, hydraulics, pneumatics and reading repair manuals & schematics

Responsibilities
- Support repairing, maintaining, installing and troubleshooting industrial equipment, such as washers, dryers, steam tunnels, conveyor systems, and boilers
- Perform preventive maintenance that includes welding, boiler chemical testing and making necessary chemistry adjustments, resolving safety concerns, and preparing maintenance records
- Support routine preventive maintenance on the property to ensure that plant machines continue to run smoothly
- Support morning start-up and evening shutdown of equipment including the boiler, air compressor, power, pumps, and valves
- Support handling regular maintenance of lint traps, shaker screen barrels, oil levels, grease fittings, and water levels
- Support completing all general and basic repairs on the machinery
- Identify and report all other major repairs that need to be completed on the machinery
