As a Maintenance Helper at ASC, you will have the opportunity to assist in keeping the foundry safe and running smoothly. You could be shoveling sand, sweeping and cleaning designated areas, operating a forklift, and more!

Requirements

Requires standing up to 10 hours per day
Repetitive use of both hands and feet up to 10 hours per day
Constant awareness of surroundings
Requires some pushing/pulling/lifting (up to 50 lbs)

Responsibilities

Shovels sand from pits using flat edge shovel
Sweeps and cleans designated areas
Uses push broom, sweeping dust and debris from assigned areas and discard into waste receptacle
Removal of waste sandbags from designated areas
Operation of forklift after obtaining certification, operate forklift to transport waste and product
Ability to take direction from supervisor; understanding temperatures controls; assisting with the cleaning/maintaining furnaces ladles
