About The Position

Inspect assigned work areas and perform duties necessary to ensure the proper upkeep of building, and report discrepancies to the immediate supervisor. Repair or replace worn or damaged floors, ceilings, doors, stair treads, door closures, locks as necessary. Perform preventive maintenance on Ayers roofs to include, but not limited to, roof membrane, insulation and flashing inspections, destructive and non-destructive moisture tests, and repair and replacement of any defect within work scope. Inspect all mechanical/electrical equipment in machine rooms for proper operation. Perform routine maintenance on electrical heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment. Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions. Make emergency repairs to pumps, motors, compressors, valves, plumbing pipes and fixtures. Provide support services to all vendors and contractors as may be required for timely and efficient repair of buildings and equipment. Inspect all electrical doors, elevators and reports condition to Maintenance Supervisor. Assist in managing the sustainability efforts of the building/facility. A valid Driver's License is required.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma (or equivalent) and zero (0) to two (2) years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • A valid Driver's License is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) to five (5) years’ experience in the field or in a related field.
  • Prefer experience in multiple trades such as plumbing, HVAC, electrical, etc.
