Position Summary This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing on-farm infrastructure. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months. If applicant has been laid off or providing child or elder care, the employment gap will be increased to 18 months. Previous work history will not apply to applicants who have been full time students consecutively for the last 36 months. Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days. Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Cobb/Tyson Foods.
Must have valid driver’s license.
Fork lift certified or able to obtain certification.
Maintain minimum point level of 6.
The jobsite is a biosecure environment whic h requires showering, changing clothing and footwear before entering the facility. Appropriate clothing and footwear is provided by the Company.  No jewelry may be worn on the jo bsite except for medical ID jewelry and body piercings covered by appropriate clothing .
Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.).
Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines.
Must use safe lifting techniques .
TM is expected to follow all applicable safety policies and procedures. These include but are not limited to Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection, LOTO and Personal Protective Equipment .
TM is expected to identify , address and mitigate safety related risks.
The employee is expected to adhere to all Company policies .

Responsibilities

Responsible for preventive maintenance program for all farm vehicles and poultry houses (50%)
These connect electrical wiring and cables; installs lighting fixtures, outlets, switches, wall boxes, and terminal boards (20%)
These adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments; repairs or replaces defective parts; reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor (20%)
Maintain and assist with housekeeping standards in the working areas; inspect birds to determine quality and progress by weighing birds weekly; sanitation of storage areas , breakroom, boot rooms, equipment, and vehicles, cleaning incinerators ; moving birds, grounds-keeping and organizing breeder tags ; properly euthanize selected or weak/ill birds  in accordance with company policy; Follow lock out tag out guidelines and procedures when performing activities that require lock out tag out; performs generator test runs each week; participate in trainings necessary to increase job performance (10%)
