About The Position

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE: Responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance of equipment and processes by maximizing the effective utilization of the resources provided.

Requirements

• Minimum of five (5) years of underground coal mining maintenance experience
• Utah Mine Foreman Certification or ability to obtain
• MSHA Electrical Certification
• Willingness to work weekends

Nice To Haves

• Previous supervisory experience preferred
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent communications skills both written and oral
• Excellent safety and attendance record

Responsibilities

• Supervise and provide direction to hourly employees in continuous miner, longwall maintenance and/or utility work.
• Plans, organizes, schedules and coordinates with Shift Supervisor all maintenance and/or utility projects.
• Supervises all aspects of safe and efficient maintenance of equipment and processes.
• Implements and maintains compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
• Task training of personnel as required.
