About The Position

Bring the terminal to life by keeping the facility and grounds clean, safe, and running smoothly. You will handle hands-on repairs and upkeep, keep securement gear organized and inventoried, and be the friendly first pickup for new drivers coming from Orientation each week. Other tasks may be assigned by the Terminal Manager as we tackle what needs done day to day.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.
Basic carpentry skills and general mechanical aptitude.
Ability to follow directions and complete assigned work with attention to detail.
Strong multitasking skills; creative problem-solving to keep costs and labor hours down.

Responsibilities

Perform daily facility checks; ensure trash/garbage is emptied and areas are clean.
Maintain building, yard, fence line, and parking lot free of debris and hazards.
Complete building/facility maintenance tasks assigned by the Terminal Manager.
Perform lawn and grounds maintenance around the building, fence, and parking lot.
Pick up new drivers from Orientation every Tuesday.
Remove securement equipment from trailers in the yard.
Sort securement equipment; return usable items back into inventory.
Maintain accurate inventory of securement items; notify Maintenance Supervisor when supplies are needed.
Build securement pallets for future new flatbed drivers.
Patch/repair used tarps to return them to road-ready condition.
Repair chain binders to return them to road-ready condition.
