About The Position

The Facilities Maintenance Technician performs maintenance and assists with construction/remodel of all locations to ensure professional appearance and image of Horicon Bank. Promotes environmentally friendly options to all facilities and grounds decisions to complement and enhance Horicon Bank's brand image. These duties are performed either personally, with assistance of Horicon Bank personnel, or in cooperation with vendors.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of two years maintenance or related experience required.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify issues, apply independent judgment, and provide practical solutions.
  • Must possess basic mathematical skills and technical ability to input and retrieve computerized information.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Time management and planning skills; ability to prioritize a diversified workload, manage assigned projects under minimal supervision, multitask, collaborate with internal departments and branches, and work effectively under deadlines.
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Some twisting, bending, and turning is required.
  • Extensive travel via company vehicle and occasional use of personal vehicle to all branch locations is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Enthusiastically support the bank sales function by providing exceptional service to internal and external customers of the bank.
  • Assist with development and implement a preventative maintenance program for all facilities to include HVAC systems, plumbing, wiring, lighting, and other facility equipment.
  • Report inefficiencies or potential security/facility violations to the appropriate managers and Security Officer.
  • Perform facility maintenance as needed.
  • Assist in the relocation of office furnishings and equipment as needed.
  • Arrange for disposal of surplus equipment and materials.
  • Consistently seek cost effective strategies in all facility-related areas.
  • Work closely with Collections to ensure repossessed real estate and other collateral are secured and inspected.
  • Performs minor repairs and preventative maintenance until resale of property.
  • Assist other employees with questions and concerns relating to office, building, and grounds maintenance.
  • Update knowledge and develop professionally on a continuing basis.
  • Participate in internal and external training and development opportunities as required.
  • Perform other duties as may be necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of this role.
