The Position Maintenance Engineer / Planner Job Summary The Opportunity You will be the architect of reliability for our Greeneville site. In this role, you aren’t just fixing things; you are building a proactive culture. You will lead our reliability-based maintenance strategy, optimize our CMMS system, and provide the engineering expertise needed to drive operational excellence. What You’ll Be Doing Problem Solving: Use Root Cause Analysis and Six Sigma methodologies to eliminate repetitive equipment failures and streamline plant operations. Planning & Strategy: Develop short- and long-term plans for preventive/predictive maintenance, critical spare parts, and resource allocation. Project Leadership: Manage the end-to-end execution of daily repairs and capital projects, including contractor management and new equipment integration. Systems Management: Champion the CMMS system to track work orders, document spare parts, and monitor the PM backlog to ensure we stay on schedule. Team Collaboration: Partner with production and maintenance teams to schedule downtime, manage manpower, and keep overtime within budget. Design for Safety: Ensure every repair, redesign, or new installation prioritizes the safety of our team above all else. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering (preferred).
  • 3+ years in a heavy industrial environment.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a maintenance supervisor, planner, or coordinator.
  • Strong mechanical and analytical skills with experience supervising maintenance or operations workforces.
  • Willingness to work in a heavy industrial setting (moving parts, dust, noise, and various weather conditions).
  • Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs/ladders for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Up to 10% travel required.
