About The Position

Quanex is looking for a Maintenance Planner to join our team in Winnebago, IL. Will be responsible for assisting the Maintenance department by ordering parts for inventory, machines and special projects, including generating work orders. This position interacts with all departments within the plant. Determine and requisition materials needed for stock and work requests. Place purchase orders with the vendors and review orders regularly Coordinate with purchasing and vendors to ensure parts availability Develop and maintain accurate inventory levels for required spare parts. Perform with a high level of initiative and constructive participation in storeroom and maintenance activities, including receiving, issuing, sourcing, ordering shipping and inventory cycle counting. Facilitate shipments and documentation domestically.

Requirements

  • A high school degree, or equivalent.
  • 2 years of applicable work-related experience within an industrial maintenance facility.
  • Strong computer proficiency with MS Office Suite, and Maintenance Management systems experience.
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and changing priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Able demonstrate initiative and the ability to work both independently and as a contributing team member.
