Requirements
- After hours on-call in rotation with other department staff
- Knowledge of plant mechanical and HVAC systems
- Proven experience in maintenance management and emergency preparedness planning
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities
- Knowledge of safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards
- Ability to develop and deliver training programs and emergency drills
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work under pressure and respond swiftly to emergencies
Nice To Haves
- Certifications in emergency management, safety, or related areas are preferred
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate all maintenance activities across facilities to ensure safety, functionality, and compliance with regulations
- Develop, implement, and regularly update disaster preparedness and emergency response plans
- Conduct risk assessments and identify potential vulnerabilities within the organization’s facilities
- Lead emergency drills and training sessions for staff to ensure readiness for various disaster scenarios
- Manage maintenance staff, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely and effective service delivery
- Monitor and manage budgets related to maintenance and emergency preparedness initiatives
- Ensure all safety protocols, building codes, and environmental regulations are adhered to
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and emergency preparedness exercises
- Collaborate with local authorities and emergency services to coordinate response efforts and stay informed on best practices
