About The Position

ConMet - Canton, NC location is looking for an experienced Maintenance Coordinator to support our Maintenance Department.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Technical/Engineering related field
  • Minimum two years of related experience in a fast pace manufacturing environment
  • Excellent computer usage skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Demonstrated SOP development and training skills
  • Ability to identify problems with parts or machinery, and understand and respond appropriately to safety factors; ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
  • Ability to follow instructions, read micrometer and blue prints

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the Maintenance Work Order system and assist assigning work to the Maintenance Mechanics based on priorities as requested by the various plant departments.
  • Maintain the Maintenance Preventive Maintenance system by scheduling and assisting assigning work orders per information provided by equipment manufacturers.
  • Coordinate plant maintenance activities with the various plant departments to provide repairs and preventive maintenance with minimum down time.
  • Manage the maintenance of the shop equipment and submit requisitions for supplies as needed.
  • Assist the Maintenance Mechanics to ensure that quality and workmanship standards are met and continuously improved.
  • Provide prints, documentation and instructions as required by the Maintenance Mechanics and verify that the work performed meets the specifications.
  • Support plant safety requirements & schedules and ensure that required safety equipment is available.
  • Provide training for the maintenance staff and standard procedures for normal repairs to ensure departmental consistency.
  • Provide project planning based on job specifications and material requirements.
  • Adjust machines and equipment as required using test and measurement instruments.
  • Diagnose machine operation to detect process problems or machine malfunctions.
  • Provide inspection of all equipment coming into the plant per the specifications provided by Engineering to assure that they are in good operating condition.
  • Maintain equipment inventory data in order to determine individual machine locations at all times, logging in new equipment in as well as updating when changes are made.
  • Assist the Technical Services Manager and Maintenance Foreman to coordinate repairs and changes with production personnel and outside contractors and vendors.
