About The Position

Howmet Aerospace has an opening for a Maintenance and Facilities Supervisor in our Tucson AZ location. The Maintenance & Facilities Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring maximum operational efficiency and safety within our manufacturing facility. This position leads the Maintenance and Toolroom teams responsible for predictive and preventative maintenance, facility upkeep, and timely distribution of tooling. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who can lead others, minimize machine downtime, manage vendor relationships, and maintain strict compliance with safety and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Must have 5 years' experience managing a facility
  • Minimum 3 years or direct supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Must have strong communication and problem solving skills.
  • Strong Interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with production managers and frontline staff.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive Preventative Maintenance program.
  • Coordinates workload, scheduling and activities of the facilities and maintenance team members across all shifts.OP
  • Oversee the daily operations of the tool room and implement 5S methodology to ensure a highly organized and efficient environment.
  • Provides direct supervision and manages performance for maintenance and toolroom team members.
  • Manage relationships with external contractors and vendors, ensuring adherence to facility standards.
  • Utilize the Maintenance Management system to track work orders and planning schedules.
  • Lead cross functional team in the determination of root cause, corrective action of problems.
  • Help to ensure that quality and standards for the department are adhered to and maintained.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to Howmet EH&S, Quality, Continuous Improvements and other Company Policies.
