About The Position

This role is responsible for creating a safe work culture and environment, overseeing all aspects of preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspection of buildings, machinery, tools, facilities, and premises. The supervisor provides technical support for the installation, commissioning, relocation, and layout changes of new production equipment, ensuring correct setup, integration, and compliance with engineering and safety requirements. A key part of the role is to ensure proper inspection, diagnosis, and repair of production equipment to minimize downtime and support continuous manufacturing operations. The position also involves developing, implementing, and continuously improving preventive maintenance programs and schedules for all production assets, aligned with manufacturers’ recommendations and operational needs, and monitoring, analyzing, controlling, and reporting on plant energy consumption. The role also includes responsibilities related to Health, Safety and Environment (EHS), promoting MESH processes and policies, and providing resources to ensure compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Facilities and Maintenance management in a Manufacturing environment
  • Supervisory experience minimum of 4 years
  • Strong background in maintenance of equipment and facilities
  • Good understanding in power distributions components and system as well its risks (arc flash)
  • Knowledge PLC, electronics, motors and other topics related to maintenance of equipment
  • Hand on ability to troubleshoot equipment
  • Fully bilingual (Oral and written skills in English/Spanish)
  • Computer literate; Windows, Excel, Word, Microsoft Project, Auto Cad and other software
  • Good project management skills
  • Good understanding in the repair and function of air handling units, electric generators, chillers, extraction system or any other equipment related to the facility
  • Fully knowledgeable in calibration methods
  • OSHA regulations
  • EPA regulations

Responsibilities

  • Create a safe work culture and environment.
  • Responsible to supervisors for all matters relating to proper preventive maintenance, repairs, inspection of building, machinery, tools, facilities and premises.
  • Provide technical support for the installation, commissioning, relocation, and layout changes of new production equipment, ensuring correct setup, integration, and compliance with engineering and safety requirements.
  • Ensure proper inspection, diagnosis, and repair of production equipment, minimizing downtime and supporting continuous manufacturing operations.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventive maintenance programs and schedules for all production assets, aligned with manufacturers’ recommendations and operational needs.
  • Monitor, analyze, control and report on plant energy consumption.
  • Responsible for the identification, project management and project execution of activities for energy conservation (From the cost out and environmental standpoint).
  • Responsible for the project identification, budget allocation and execution to ensure business continuity and contingency from the facility standpoint (Hurricane and disasters recovery).
  • Responsible for the implementation of CIF initiatives through the facility and Maintenance group.
  • Supervise installation, improvement, upkeep, construction and repairs of all buildings, machinery, tools, facilities and premises.
  • Identify and schedules overhauls and renewal of equipment.
  • Manage the documentation of equipment repairs and inspection.
  • Issue and review work schedule of the department.
  • Manage the preventive maintenance program.
  • Recommends and executes the modifications to equipment.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of ideas related the cost reduction program.
  • Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
  • Interprets company policies to personnel and enforces safety regulations.
  • Requisitions tools, equipment and supplies.
  • Manage or assist to manage major construction projects or facilities expansions.
  • Foresee that all equipment and facilities comply with local and federal regulatory offices.
  • Assure compliance with occupational safety and health laws and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Attend and perform all EHS training assigned.
  • Promote MESH processes and policies to all employees under his/her supervision.
  • Provide all resources needed to ensure that all MESH policies and procedures all performed by all personnel under his/her supervision.
