About The Position

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Developer to support and enhance enterprise applications running on mainframe systems This role involves working with DB2 databases maintaining legacy code and ensuring the reliability and performance of missioncritical financial and business systems

Requirements

Strong experience in mainframe development eg COBOL JCL VSAM
Proficiency in working with DB2 databases CICS
Understanding of batch and online processing in mainframe environments
Familiarity with software development lifecycle and version control systems
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues

Nice To Haves

Experience with integration of mainframe systems with modern platforms
Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization techniques
Exposure to financial systems and regulatory compliance
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaboration tools
Understanding of cloud migration strategies for legacy systems

Responsibilities

Develop maintain and enhance applications on mainframe platforms
Work with DB2 databases for data retrieval manipulation and optimization
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Perform debugging testing and performance tuning of mainframe applications
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to support system integrations and upgrades
Ensure compliance with coding standards and documentation practices
Participate in incident resolution and provide production support as needed
