About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Mailroom Clerk & Driver to ensure timely delivery of internal and external correspondence. This role is critical to maintaining smooth communication across departments and supporting the operational efficiency of our facility and manufacturing plants.

Requirements

Associate’s degree or Higher.
Prior experience in mailroom operations, ideally within a manufacturing or corporate environment.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to lift and transport packages up to 50 lbs.
Proficiency with basic office software, postage machines, and mail tracking systems.

Responsibilities

Collect, sort, and deliver incoming mail, packages, and interoffice & external correspondence.
Ensure secure handling of confidential and sensitive documents.
Assist customers in picking up mail at the mailroom
Organize and maintain mailroom systems.
Follow mailroom, shipping & receiving processes for packages, parts, and documents.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups of Certified Mail, etc.
Oversee inventory of mailroom supplies (envelopes, labels, postage, etc.).
Operate company vehicles to pick up mail from (4) local Post Office and deliver outgoing mail to the Post Office daily.
Deliver mail out to and pick up from local plants and misc. locations in the Metro Detroit Area.
Ensure compliance with safety and traffic regulations.
Run outgoing mail from the local plants through the postage meters to take to Post Office.
Provide support to administrative staff and departments with special mailing requests.
Assist in streamlining communication channels across the organization.
