Requirements

Experience in a mail room
Good personality
High school diploma or GED
Punctuality
Ability to handle packages up to 35 pounds
Organizational skills
Microsoft Office experience

Responsibilities

Ensure the previous day’s mail was picked up and take any uncollected mail to the Post Office.
Sort all incoming mail and log any barcoded packages.
Open and inspect mail for specific departments as required.
Load and deliver mail to various locations within the campus twice daily.
Pick up any outgoing mail and packages from designated locations.
Deliver all incoming packages to the appropriate departments.
Check for and deliver incoming packages from external vendors.
Retrieve certified mail and ensure timely delivery.
Perform last pick up for outgoing shipments and ensure they are ready for dispatch.
Make special mail runs as needed, including certified notices and other important documents.
Occasionally deliver to or pick up from external vendors or partners.
Follow specific instructions for special deliveries and pickups.
