About The Position

CACI seeks a talented logistics professional providing an exciting opportunity for a Mail Clerk. The Mail Clerk is responsible for managing and operating the day to day operations of the mail room, distribution, and support of our Reston facility. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and committed to delivering exceptional client service while ensuring smooth day-to-day office operations.

Requirements

  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent, and two to three years related experience.
  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, bend, crouch or crawl. The employee must also occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more.
  • Provides escort assistance for contractor and building management.
  • Assists during facility reallocations and construction, and other special projects involving the facilities department.
  • Troubleshoot problem areas and resolves problems making recommendations for systems solutions.
  • Verbal and written communication skills to interact clearly with customers, vendors and other employees
  • Must be well spoken, professional in appearance, and demeanor; be friendly, courteous, and can multi-task

Responsibilities

  • Picks up and delivers mail from U.S. Post Office when needed.
  • Deliver computer equipment, small office furniture, and packages between offices locally.
  • Receive packages from delivery services (USPS, UPS, FedEx, and other), log and maintain logs of packages.
  • Contact recipients and monitor distribution of packages and secure any deliveries left at the end of the day is secure.
  • Operates company vehicle. Must have Current driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Kitchen and mail room supply management (stocking pantry, mailroom and office supplies)
  • Coordinate payment for services or purchase on company credit card.
  • Provide escort assistance for contractors and building management.
  • Assists during facility relocations and construction, and other special projects involving facilities department.
  • Interact professionally with the facilities team, all stages of customers, management, property manager and building maintenance individuals.
  • Troubleshoot and/or make minor repairs to furniture, appliances, fixtures, etc.
  • Requires good working knowledge of Outlook and Microsoft Office. Familiarity with creating spreadsheets is desirable.
  • Maintains adequate office and mailroom supply inventory.
  • Moves furniture and office equipment as necessary and performs some handyman type of tasks (i.e., hanging pictures and bulletin boards, performing small repairs, etc.)
