About The Position

The Mail & Parking Services Specialist is responsible for overseeing incoming and outgoing mail and packages for the Texas A&M Health Bryan campus. Checks in all packages using appropriate tracking software and loads or stages items for pickup. Provides backup parking enforcement as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of mail service experience.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Valid Class 'C' Texas Driver's License within 30 days of employment.
  • Inability to obtain a valid Class 'C' Texas Driver's License may result in termination.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of previous work experience.
  • Electric fork-lift operational capabilities.
  • Previous experience in mail services or parking enforcement.

Responsibilities

  • Manages daily incoming and outgoing mail and package services for Bryan campus.
  • Accepts deliveries from multiple carriers and ensures proper logging and distribution.
  • Loads packages into the Parcel Pending locker system or designated departmental mailboxes.
  • Monitors and tracks employee package pickup to ensure timely retrieval and system accuracy.
  • Maintains secure handling of all campus correspondence and deliveries.
  • Greets staff, responds to inquiries, and answers phones.
  • Enforces campus parking regulations by issuing warnings and parking citations, including monitoring overtime, restricted, or unauthorized parking.
  • Assists other parking services staff with vehicle towing operations.
  • Assists with traffic control and vehicle direction duties as needed.
