Job Summary: Each day starts with a trip to the Superior Post Office to pick up faculty and staff mail/packages. We then sort mail at the Service Center. Campus is currently divided into two delivery routes depending on student staffing each semester. On each route we deliver mail/packages/paper stock to specified locations on campus, including Barkers Island/NERR. There may be instances where we need to drive to other locations in the Duluth/Superior area. Throughout the day we keep an eye out for UPS/Speedee/Fed Ex and other deliveries to the Service Center where we inspect and log in items as they arrive. Letter mail/packages are generally processed for USPS. We also utilize UPS and Fed Ex for outbound parcel shipping. Exact duties for student staff will vary based on the time of day worked and what our goals are for that time of each day. Students are required to drive campus vehicles for deliveries and must have a valid US driver’s license (non-probationary) and pass the requirements for UWS drivers’ authorization. Check with parking for latest update to these requirements or visit: https://www.uwsuper.edu/student-life/support-and-services/parking-services/drivers/ International students also need to apply for a US driver’s license.
